Where the Community Meets the Makers
Our mission is to promote and elevate artists and makers from Newberry County, SC.
We do this by:
creating and promoting exhibitions for Newberry Made Artists,
introducing artists and business members to each other, and
by promoting Newberry as an art destination for tourism.
History
Newberry Made was established in December, 2019 in an effort to host an exhibition of local Newberry County artists and makers. What began as an artist registry for the exhibition has grown to over 160 creative individuals and enterprises. The group hosts regular exhibitions at local businesses and municipal venues. We actively participate in community art projects including “Let’s Paint” at the GROW Newberry Farmer’s Market and “Park Jams at the House” in partnership with the Newberry Opera House. Members from the group can be found every Wednesday morning having coffee beneath the Boyce Street Poetree. Our story is still being told. We welcome you to join and be a part of it.

We welcome artists of all disciplines and the unique contributions they bring from their education, opinions, age, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation, and beliefs.
